DanDaDan Season 2

Published on the 30th July 2025.

What’s there to say? The animation is great and the story is just as absurd as ever. Season 1 introduced a lot of characters, and at the end of episode 4 it feels like everything comes together. The season did not end yet, but at least until now, I know it’s always a good time when I watch an episode of DanDaDan. The pacing of this season is a bit weird though. The first season ended with a chill episode of lighthearted bonding, and this second season starts with four full episodes of high stakes action. It feels like the pacing would have been better if they had cut the first season off two episodes to ease in the watchers into the second season with a 6 episode arc at Jiji’s house. The art is gorgeous and varied, that’s what makes DanDaDan action scenes stand out to me. Props to the music artists, the opening and ending songs are not just as catchy as the first opening (Otonoke by Creepy Nuts) but I still enjoy them a lot and listen to them often :).
