Dofus 3 Day 2: Setting up

Published on the 4th December 2024.

This second day, we continued levelling up a bit. I fell back a bit behind Seju because he did all of Incarnam, so I went and rushed Incarnam quests. With a full kwak we went on more confident with our results and tackled the Boostache. The level 40 also unlocked my second fire type spell for a while, Turbine. Turbine is another huge zone that puts enemy together, but also increases the turret evolution level. I quickly figured out that with seven PM, I could do Turbine + Sabotage + Evo on harpo. This is a good DPS combo turn 2 with lenient positionment needs. Things were looking way better and it did not pose any difficulty. We could now access Kankreblath, and even though we had to play carefully to avoid getting one shot by the dungeon monsters, we got through the boss room without a hitch. It was starting to look clear that we couldn’t continue duoing dungeons without a proper equipement. We started levelling up crafting jobs. I went with the ring/necklace crafter, and Seju improved his Capes and Hats craft job. Those jobs were also a great way to get an economy rolling, and be able to afford more items down the way. With careful consideration of the economy, it’s possible to level a job with neutral or negative losses:

Anyways, after a bit of job levelling, we were ready to tackle the Chafer Ronin. By this point I was full Kwak with the Prespic ring and shield. This provides 1PM/PM/PO and a fairly good intel stat that imporoves fire damage. We didn’t do much runemagic on our items yet, so we still had to play a bit safe, but thanks to quick clear of monsters, we got through the Chafer Ronin very easily. The huge zones I had were a real help in debunking the Chafer Ronin shadow clones.

We were joined by a lower level friend. We did a quick Grunob and a painful Batofu. It was very annoying, we lacked damage to get the tofus down quickly, and with only 3 PM this dungeon was a crawl. We were able to see the end and went to improve our equipements a bit more. Seju got his second water spell but the damage output and range weren’t worth it. At this point he was vastly outdamaged and we cannot afford a full support when running duo. He decided to switch to an earth build afterwards. The range is lesser, but the size of the damage glyph is huge and that spell in it of itself provided all the damage we’d need.

We tried to do kwakwa a couple times but kept getting blasted by the boss. This last rework is rough for duos. They hit like a truck, have high hitpoints and resistances.
